What is Probate?

Put simply; The probate process is about identifying assets that belonged to a deceased person, the payment and satisfaction of all outstanding debts and bills, and granting the executor of the estate the ability to liquidate and sell assets in order to administer the estate.

Perhaps most importantly, probate is about distributing and re-titling the estate to the proper beneficiaries nominated in the will. Probate is court-driven, based on statutory procedures. Further, probate cases become public record, and it can be time-consuming and expensive.

What are the Options for Probate Law in Scottsdale?
